Nic – Das Monster
Chopping wood in Sweden, digging out an outhouse in Siberia, sailing on the Baltic Sea and receiving one-on-one educational support: young offenders are to be rehabilitated away from home. But the adventure trips for behavioral problems are controversial among researchers and in the media. The projects are unique and exciting, and the task of the counselors individually is a great challenge.
What values are taught to young people who have lost common value systems? And how are they told?
In the scenically beautiful Maramures region in northern Romania, children and young people from Germany, for whom parents, schools and youth welfare services have already tried everything without achieving the desired result, are taken in. There, in the Romanian mountains, even the “worst” system offenders are cared for and individual solutions are found for each one.
